Using the report

The raceday report isn't just a page to read. There are a few tools built into it that let you work with your own prices and keep a record of what you decided.

Nothing here changes the analysis. The model's numbers are the model's numbers — these tools sit alongside them.

DESCRIPTION

Enter your  current betting bank at the start of the meeting.

Everything else on the page using dollars works from this one number.

Hides every runner that isn't a bet today, in every race.

Click again to bring them back.

Removes runners the model has ruled out, so you're only looking at the model's live chances.

Downloads everything you've entered as a spreadsheet file.

Puts all your race notes on the clipboard in one go.

Hovering any control shows a short reminder of what it does.

On a phone, tap and hold.

The summary line

Once you've entered a bank, a line appears underneath:

summary line toolbar.png

Read left to right, that's how many bets the model has found today, what each one is at the standard 1.5% stake, what backing all of them would cost, and what share of your bank that represents.

The last figure is the one worth pausing on. A single bet at 1.5% feels small. Ten of them on one card is 15% of your bank committed in an afternoon. It's there so the total isn't a surprise.

Watchlist runners aren't counted — they're horses waiting on a price, not bets.

Sort and filter

  • Click any column heading in a race table to sort by it.

  • Click again to reverse.

  • Sorting by EDGE or WINPROB is a quick way to see where the model most disagrees with the market.

Test your own price

SP column

Shows the market price when the report was generated. By the time you're betting, that price has usually moved, and your bookmaker may differ anyway.

YOUR $

Type in the price you can actually get.

YOUR EDGE

Updates as you type. It shows the difference between the model's assessment and what your price implies, and tells you whether that price beats the model's RATED price:

Green, "✓ over rated" — you're getting a better price than the model thinks the horse is worth
Red, "under rated" — you're getting less than the model's fair price

The grey number in an empty box is the rated price, so you can see what you're aiming to beat.

Make your own notes

Each race has a notes box underneath it. Anything you type is yours — a reminder about the pace, a horse to follow next start, why you passed.

Copy my notes puts all of them on your clipboard in one go, ready to paste wherever you keep things.

Export your sheet

Export my sheet

Downloads a CSV of everything you've entered: the runners you priced, your edge on each, your stake and what it would collect, and your notes. The meeting is in the filename, so a season's worth stays in order.

It opens in Excel, Google Sheets or Numbers, and the columns line up with the free betting log on our resources page.

Only runners you actually priced are exported, along with any race you made a note on.

Nothing is saved

  • This matters, so it's worth being plain about it.

  • Everything you type stays in your own browser and nowhere else.

  • We don't store it, we can't see it, and no other subscriber can.

  • It's yours entirely.

The other side of that:

  • If you close or refresh the page, it's gone. There's nowhere for it to be kept.

  • If you've marked up a card and want to keep it, export before you leave.

  • The report will warn you if you try to leave with unexported work.

  • Your bank figure isn't remembered between meetings either, so you'll re-enter it each raceday.

Printing

Export your sheet before you print if you want your own entries as well — the printed report shows the analysis only.

Nothing in the report is a recommendation to bet.
