HK Speed King publishes quantitative analysis of Hong Kong horse racing. This page explains what that analysis is, what it isn't, and the limits you should read it within.
INFORMATION AND ANALYSIS ONLY
HK Speed King provides information and analysis. Nothing we publish is a recommendation to place a bet, and nothing we publish is financial, investment or legal advice. Our reports contain model probabilities and rated prices. A rated price is our model's estimate of a fair price for a runner. It is an estimate produced by a statistical model, not a prediction of an outcome and not a statement of what any runner is worth.

We do not guarantee winnings, profits, or any particular outcome.
Betting involves risk, and you can lose money. Only ever stake money you can afford to lose.
WHAT WE DO AND DON'T PUBLISH
We do not publish profit figures, return figures, unit results or betting strike rates, and we make no claims about financial returns from using our analysis.
Where we publish statistics about the model — for example calibration, showing how our stated probabilities compare against observed outcomes — those figures describe the behaviour of the model. They are a measure of whether our numbers mean what they say. They are not a record of betting results, they do not describe what any subscriber achieved, and they should not be read as an indication of what any subscriber will achieve.
A model that is well calibrated is not a model that tells you what to back. Whether a runner is worth backing depends on the price available to you at the time, which is why our reports rule most runners out.
MODELS HAVE LIMITS
Our analysis is produced by statistical models built on historical data. Models are simplifications. They can be wrong, they can be wrong repeatedly, and conditions can change in ways historical data does not capture.
Every report carries a confidence score for each race precisely because some races are more legible than others. Treat our numbers as estimates carrying uncertainty, not as facts.
DATA ACCURACY AND TIMING
We source race data from third parties and take reasonable care with it, but we do not warrant that it is accurate, complete or current.
Prices shown in a report are a snapshot taken at the time the report was generated. Markets move. The price you see when you read a report may differ from the price available to you, and any edge our model identified may no longer exist.
BETTING LAWS IN HONG KONG
In Hong Kong, The Hong Kong Jockey Club is the only operator authorised to accept bets on horse racing.
Gambling with any unauthorised operator is an offence under the Gambling Ordinance (Cap. 148).
HK Speed King is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to The Hong Kong Jockey Club.
We are not a bookmaker or betting operator, we do not accept bets, and we do not facilitate betting.
